I create pastel drawings inspired by the stunningly beautiful places where I have lived around the world; most notably France, East Hampton, NY and Jamaica. My pastels are "portraits of nature" pictured amongst their surroundings, as well as sweeping landscapes of fields, clouds and tranquil water surfaces. I evolved my own special technique of coaxing luminosity out of my materials which I adore working with.

I draw smaller pieces filled with meticulous detail exploring my subject in depth. My larger pastels have a slightly more impressionistic feeling.

My works have been exhibited internationally, with many exhibitions as a solo artist. The many corporate and private collections to my credit have led to publication in numerous books and magazines.

The beauty of Southwestern France where I spent much time provides a bounty of images for me to interpret, but I also work from photographs, and, of course, imagination.
